John Harris was born in 1967 to an Air Force family in Panama City, Florida, and grew up living around the world. He graduated with honors from North Davidson Senior High School and went on to Liberty University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1992, graduating cum laude with concentrations in finance and political science. During his college years, John was active in the College Republicans and helped build one of the largest chapters in the country.
After college, he began his career in the mortgage industry, founding Promethean Finance and later launching MoneyWorks4u.com. As a keynote speaker at the 1999 WSB “Managing Your Money” Conference and founder of Hope Funding, LLC, he developed a reputation for entrepreneurial leadership and integrity in finance.
Over the years, John expanded his career into law and public policy, serving as a senior paralegal while pursuing his MBA at Shorter University. A graduate of Morton Blackwell’s Leadership Institute, he has worked in grassroots organizing, campaign strategy, media operations, and political countermeasures.
Together with his wife, Eve Harris, John co-founded Citizens for Justice with Mercy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reforming the American justice system within conservative and faith-based circles. Their work centers on the principle of Earned Restoration—a belief that the justice system must balance accountability with mercy and provide a clear path to redemption and restored citizenship.
John’s message resonates with both Christian conservatives and common-sense Democrats who believe that true justice must include hope. From local advocacy in Georgia to national outreach in Washington, D.C., John continues to advance a vision that justice without mercy is cruelty, and mercy without justice is license.

We’re forming the Founders’ Circle for Citizens for Justice with Mercy. A group of early supporters who believe that redemption is a conservative value. Before we open it to the public, I wanted to get your counsel and maybe your endorsement
